Where are you headed? I start a new consulting gig next week, so I am out for a weekday of fun.
What do you wear to work? The dress code for work is pretty varied, but my style remains pretty consistent. First impressions matter so I do my best to dress a little more formal then everyone else.
What’s your signature style?
I wore ties in high school and hated them, but now I wear ties for fun. But the most important part of my wardrobe are accessories.
How do you accessorize?
I don’t have as many shoes as I would like, so I make it seem as if I have more by changing the shoelaces on a regular basis. I match my pocket square to my shoelaces or to my socks or a belt. No day is the same and it all depends on my mood.
What’s your favorite tie knot?
I wear a 4-in-hand, usually tied with one hand. A tie knot speaks to the personality of the wearer. A windsor knot takes substantially longer to tie, so if you pay attention to the very finite details, then the windsor or even double windsor is for you. I prefer to focus on other details of a look, like the material of the tie, a tie clip, the socks.
